Meet the Photographer

Brian is a professional and published photographer/photo journalist based out of Marin, California. (Just outside of San Francisco) He specializes in wildlife, action and artful portraits. Brian's work tends to focus on nature, photo journalism and portraits that affect change or highlight the beauty of all moments.  He has literally trained and completed photo projects all over the world with some of his favorite locations being; Thailand, Italy and Mexico.

As a loyal student of Eckhart Tolle, Brian embraces the idea of the, "Power of Now." He is mindful to appreciate the moments of life and applies that philosophy to his art. Brian believes that there is beauty in every person, place and thing. You can see this in his work as he has an exceptional eye for subject matter.

Brian started his professional career as a photographer in Vancouver, Canada. His initial training and work was geared more toward science and research versus art. Brian spent years learning how to photograph identifying marks on wild Orcas and dolphins. This led to an opportunity to participate in three separate photo projects in Alaska with the focus being on American Bald Eagles. Through these projects, Brian fell in love with wildlife photography. In 2014, Brian gained worldwide attention for two photo journalism projects based out of Chiang Mai, Thailand. The exposè pieces focused on, "In-captivity" tigers used for tourism and  2.) Rescue efforts of abused elephants from the logging industry.

In Canada, Brian's mentors challenged him to study portrait photography with an emphasis of portraits in nature. In Whistler and Vancouver, he was fortunate to sharpen his portrait skills with several of Canada's up and coming models. He fell in love with this medium and to this day, still takes on private clients who desire artful portraits.

Today, Brian serves as a contributing photographer for the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito and the Marine Mammal Care Center in Los Angeles. His work has been featured on the Discovery Channel, NatGeo and PBS.  In addition to his wildlife photography, Brian has become a recognized and published action photographer for aircraft in flight. His most notable work has been with the US Navy's Blue Angels and traveling aircraft demonstration teams from all over the world.
